House Clearance - Monk Bretton

We were instructed through the estate agency to complete a house clearance in Monk Bretton on behalf of the property seller.

Scope of the project

The project involved removing a range of bulky items from the property, including a fridge freezer, cooker and washing machine. As part of the works, we safely disconnected the cooker and washing machine before removal.

During the washing machine disconnection, a leaking isolator valve was identified. We arranged for a plumber to attend and resolve the issue, helping to prevent further problems and ensuring the property was left in a suitable condition.

At the request of the property buyer, we also stripped out carpets, underlay and gripper rods from the property, leaving the rooms clear and ready for the next stage of the sale process.

This was a one-person team taking care of the three separate kitchen areas, two bathrooms, sensory room and all classroom areas. Too bad somebody forgot to take proper pictures of this one; however, there wasn’t any power on site so lighting would have been an issue anyway. The cleaner used a battery powered hoover and a head torch for some parts of this clean.

Project outcome

The house clearance was completed efficiently, with bulky items, appliances, carpets, underlay and gripper rods removed as requested.

By identifying the leaking isolator valve and arranging a plumber to fix the issue, we were also able to help the client deal with an unexpected problem during the clearance. The property was left clear, tidy and better prepared for the buyer ahead of completion.
